My name is William Warren and I am a freelance photographer and videographer living in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

 

Cameras, technology and the art of visual composition have always been an interest of mine. I began learning the technical aspects of cameras and editing from the age of 7.

 

Through years of learning and gaining experience, I am confident that I can create any content required for your business or personal project.

 

Background

 

In addition to my interest in photography and video, I have also always had a strong admiration for other cultures and people throughout the world. I have traveled extensively throughout India, Cambodia, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, and Kazakhstan, to name a few.

 

In these countries, I learned extensively about the culture and different ways of life, including their languages. My language skills include basic conversational Russian, Hindi, Arabic, and Khmer, as well as regional languages like Bhojpuri and Punjabi. Additionally, I can read and write in Arabic and Russian at a basic level and read basic level Hindi as well.

 

Education and experience

 

• B.A in Mass Communications from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, Arizona State University (ASU), awarded August 11th, 2020.

• Graphic Design certification, Amrita Multimedia Academy, Kollam, Kerala, India,

awarded March 2013.

 

Over the last 5 years, I have worked as a photographer and videographer in numerous projects for commercial, noncommercial, and NGO entities.

 

I was a photographer for Amrita SeRve for 2 1/2 years, documenting the NGO's self-empowerment projects in rural India.

 

My photos and videos were used in brochures, social media, websites, newsletters, etc.

 

During my time with the Amrita Serve project, I traveled extensively throughout India’s rural areas. To connect with villagers and learn more about their struggles and what sustainable solutions existed,

I used my basic language skills and cultural knowledge.

 

The project work was from June 2016 to March 2018. I am eternally grateful for the experience s this project provided.

 

Since March of 2018, I have been living in Siem Reap, Cambodia,  completing my degree with ASU online and working as a freelancer for multiple businesses to create content and assist with social media management.

 

Currently, I am working on independent projects for a variety of clients, businesses, individuals, and organizations needing professional photography, video and related services using technology.
